Have you seen this billboard? Texas gets first 'LOVE' billboard in Corpus Christi - Corpus Christi Caller-Times

If you drive on State Highway 358 in Corpus Christi, you might notice a billboard with a message just for you.

A red billboard with the word "LOVE" on it was posted this week along the highway near Agnes Street as a part of the international "Love on Every Billboard" movement, a news release states.

Texas became the 10th state to host a "LOVE" billboard since the project launched last November. The Corpus Christi billboard is the 65th billboard to go up in the nation.

John Pogachar of Washington put up billboards like this around his hometown late last year with the help of a GoFundMe page.

The goal was to spread love throughout communities, especially areas that have recently experienced hard times.

“We do this because it’s actually shifting the vibration of the planet,” Pogachar stated in a release. “It’s helping people realize what’s important in their lives.”

The idea quickly multiplied in Pogachar's community and is now opening to a worldwide audience to share the message.

Jamie Rae Hellen, a travel nurse in Corpus Christi, raised funds with her friends to bring a "LOVE" billboard to the city.

Hellen, who is on her first assignment as a travel nurse, said she was inspired by the “love wave” created by these billboards.

“I would love to leave some love wherever I travel,” she said.

“I cannot wait to drive by it and just feel the simplicity and depth of love,” Hellen said before the billboard was posted. “I just love knowing that I’m leaving my own piece of tangible love in the world.”

The board will be up in Corpus Christi for about a month, the release states.

Love on Every Billboard was recently featured on The Today Show and a billboard was spotted in Jason Mraz’s new video for the song “Love is Still the Answer."

Pogachar hopes to spread the message through billboards in Canada and other countries.

“Let’s keep putting up billboards that just say LOVE. No hashtags. No website. Just LOVE," Pogachar said.
