Vinny Guadagnino claimed he has never fallen in love before the show
The reality star talked a little bit about what his dating life was like before getting a dating show.
He said he has never fallen in love before and “probably” slept with over 500 women. Guadagnino went on to explain how that happened.
“You’ve got to understand, I’ve done these club appearances when I was on the show,” he said on Boomer and Gio. “So like three nights a week you’re in a different city, traveling around the country, things happen. But I’ve slowed down a lot. Like now, I’m going back to my room, I wanna watch Netflix, I wanna just chill. I don’t wanna be in bed with somebody if I don’t wanna wake up to them the next day and talk to them.”
He chose Alysse Joyner in the end
Guadagnino made strong connections with several women throughout the show. However, one of them managed to keep his attention almost from the beginning.
Alysse Joyner was the first to kiss Guadagnino in the club. They both were pretty shy and struggled with that, but he picked her in the end.
“Since the first minute we chilled with each other I’m always drawn to you. It’s effortless when I hang out with you. I know you’re shy and introverted and I am, too. But if you’re ready for a shot at love, so am I,” he told her in the finale.
He talked more about his decision with The Wrap. ” She’s quiet and shy when the cameras were on. So you’re not gonna see that outspoken side of her. I can relate to that because I’m the same exact way on Jersey Shore,” he said. “Behind the scenes, she wasn’t like that. Whenever you’re in the club and music came on, she was awesome. She’s a professional dancer.”
He said they struggled to keep the relationship alive while avoiding spoilers
People on dating reality shows go from spending almost all of their time together to spending no time together after the show. That’s because they don’t want to spoil who gets chosen in the end.
This can easily backfire and it looks like it did for the Jersey Shore star. “Unfortunately,Alysse and I weren’t allowed to see each other publicly after filming for 5 months until the finale aired to not spoil the ending.Very weird situation to be put in after the finale.I struggled to keep it alive through text.Still think she’s amazing.Wish her the best,” he tweeted.
That might not be the entire story. Fellow cast member, Mish Gao tweeted, “How ya gonna not talk to her for 5 months but be with another girl in Vegas and slide into another one of our cast’s DMs.” Joyner responded to it with “THANK YOU.”
Fans must have been pressuring her to take him back because she later tweeted, “Y’all keep saying give him another chance. He didn’t even talk to me backstage??? Give him another chance so I can get hurt again??? Open your f*ckin eyes!”
It seems like he still appreciated his time doing the show. He tweeted, ” I want to thank everyone who tuned in to #DoubleShotAtLove. It trended every week and you made it a massive hit. Hope you enjoyed the rollercoaster that we lived !”
Ultimately, the couple is no longer together. It seems like a mix of things led to the end of their relationship.
