Eau Claire (WQOW) - A new mural behind The Metro downtown will likely be the backdrop of many future wedding photos.
"Love is the key" is the title of the new downtown Eau Claire mural, painted by Rehannah Petska. It was commissioned by The Metro.
The idea came together when The Metro's ownership asked Petska to incorporate the word "love" somehow and she loves the look of old skeleton keys.
Petska began working on the mural in August and said she hopes it reminds people of whats really important in life.
"It's just something nice to look at instead of the state of the world at times," Petska said. "I think maybe this can be a source of inspiration for people."
The mural is not quite finished yet, with Petska still adding some finishing touches. She said this is the largest mural she has ever done.
