Update: Derry Township Police said the road has reopened.
Windy conditions are keeping utility crews busy Friday fixing downed, live electric wires.
North Lingle Avenue in Derry Township is currently closed, according to the Derry Township Police Department. Local traffic is allowed to get to their residences and businesses by entering from the north or south of the road’s closure, police said.
Motorists may encounter detours and are asked to try to avoid the area. Officers currently do not know what time the wires will be fixed and the road will be reopened.
