CLEVELAND,Ohio -- Walls of Love will be celebrating its second Anniversary by erecting 50 Walls of Love, with necessities and winter gear for families in need, throughout Ohio and across the United States.
The nonprofit initiative was founded in Cleveland by Holly Jackson in 2018. The group created its 500th wall last month in honor of Alianna DeFreeze, a 14-year-old girl who was abducted and killed in early 2017.
The event will provide essentials and hygiene supplies to those in need in the following Ohio cities: Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, East Cleveland, Elyria, Lakewood, Lorain, Painesville, Shaker Heights and Youngstown.
The nonprofit has created walls also in Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, Colorado, Arkansas and Alaska, with plans to expand to New York, Florida and Texas in the coming weeks.
All proceeds and donations to Walls of Love go directly to impact individuals in need. In just under two years over 585 Walls of Love have helped over 110,000 individuals.
