“This wasn’t an accident. This man knew who he was taking from us. He saw my mom and he decided that nobody else could have her,” said Kari Matthes, Loretta Billman’s daughter.

The daughter of 62-year-old Loretta Billman speaks out to FOX 21’s Dan Hanger about her mother’s murder in her Saginaw home by a man she met from Las Vegas after her longtime husband passed away.

“I wish we would have known what we know now,” Matthes said.

Plus, the warning about domestic violence that comes with no boundaries.

“This level of violence that is born in some type of toxic relationship affects us all. All walks of life and social economic backgrounds, and so on,” said Wade Rasch, a supervising deputy with the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

“But it’s the thing that the rest of us think that she should just walk away from. Yet, it’s the most dangerous thing for her,” said Scott Miller, executive director of the Domestic Abuse Intervention Programs.
