Love Island couple reveal they are exclusive during a VERY awkward encounter with a fellow Islander during ITV's explosive reunion
A Love Island couple have revealed they are now exclusively dating during ITV's explosive reunion show on Sunday night.
The news was revealed during an awkward encounter with a fellow Islander which caused a stir live on air.
Ella Barnes and Mitchel Taylor are the latest couple to confirm their romance is going from strength to strength as the pair went exclusive.
The couple admitted on the reunion show that spending the last two days together with each others families have made them even stronger.
As co-host Sam Thompson sat down with Ella, Mitchel and Abi Moores, he questioned the trio about their spicy love triangle during the villa.
The former Made In Chelsea star asked Mitch: 'Do you have any regrets?'
Mitch responded: 'Er I mean these two girls sat around this table right now [Ella B and Abi] I could have handled the situation a lot more and obviously I apologised to both of them. That sucks.'
Ella added that watching the clips back wasn't nice to see but confirmed they were absolutely fine following their drama in the villa.
She said: 'I mean watching the clips back weren't nice but we're absolutely fine now. In the villa you are in this bubble, you let things get to your head but yeah we're better than ever.'
Sam jumped in and asked: 'Are you exclusive actually?'
Ella and Mitch both answered at the same time and replied 'yeah' with a big grin on their faces.
Things took a quick turn for the worse when Abi was asked if she still has feelings for Mitch.
Abi said: 'Well when I first came out the villa obviously I was going through my phone and TikTok's and looking back on stuff and me and Mitch did really have a good connection.
'And I would say that personally mine and Mitch's connection was stronger than his and Ella's at the time.'
Ella quickly added: 'If it was stronger, his head would never have turned. I just think that's screaming bitter to me.'
Abi finished: 'Well it's just my opinion, but all I'll say now is that after being gas lit by a gas engineer, I will never go back there.'
Mitch and Ella placed fifth in the competition as they were left packing their bags during a savage dumping just before the final.
The moment came after the five remaining couples were asked to vote for pair who they thought were the least compatible as they enjoyed their last dates outside the villa.
Host Maya Jama, 28, revealed Ella and Mitch had received a total of four votes, while Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki got one, meaning both couples went went head-to-head.
After leaving the villa, Mitch said: 'It feels good. I feel like I was on borrowed time, but I loved every minute of it and I’m ready to get back to the real world.'
On whether he ever saw a romantic connection with his original show partner Molly, Mitch continued: 'I think the first three or four days were very strong and then Molly wanted to get to know Zach so I took a step back and tried to leave it as that. It’s difficult to do that though when you’re sharing the same room as the people though.'
However, he insisted he felt a connection with Ella as soon as she entered the villa as a bombshell and they went on their first date.
He explained: 'I think from the first date we had, I thought there was a connection and it wasn’t until I got back and the way that Abi acted pushed me away.
'That opened the door for me and Ella. When we had more conversations together I realised we had a connection.'
