Taylor Swift Performs 'Labyrinth' About 'Falling in Love Again' at Argentina Eras Tour Stop - PEOPLE

One of Taylor Swift’s most romantic songs made its live debut on the Eras Tour

On Thursday night at the opening night of the Latin American leg of her Eras Tour in Argentina, the pop superstar, 33, played her Midnights song “Labyrinth” live for the first time. The Grammy winner gave a stunning, emotional performance of the love song on stage at Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate, as captured by fan-recorded videos

Wearing a shimmering blue gown, the “Karma” singer played a sweet, stripped-down rendition of the ballad from the piano as a part of the rotating “surprise songs” portion of her set.

“Uh oh, I'm falling in love / Oh no, I'm falling in love again / Oh, I'm falling in love / I thought the plane was going down / How'd you turn it right around,” the singer-songwriter repeated throughout the performance.

In footage capturing the hitmaker from close-up, she appeared to be both at ease and overjoyed performing “Labyrinth,” as she smiled throughout the moment.

At one point towards the end of the song, the pop icon’s voice sounded especially affecting as it reached new heights while repeating the touching chorus — and the audience seemed to feel her energy by clapping along and erupting in cheers.

Swifties are speculating the “Cruel Summer” singer added the 2022 track onto her expansive set list thanks to her new romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce

“Taylor’s playing labyrinth… the world is healing,” one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter) along with footage of both Swift and Kelce at the first Kansas City Chiefs game she attended back in September.

Another fan shared a clip of the performance and posted, “something about taylor singing labyrinth while she herself is falling in love again and the smile on her face when she sings it 🥹.”

The NFL star, 34, was not in attendance at the Thursday night show, as he was showing his support for his teammate Patrick Mahomes at the third annual Mahomies Foundation Gala in Kansas City, Missouri.

However, the two-time Super Bowl champion touched down in Buenos Aires on Friday ahead of Swift’s second show in the Argentinian city.

Before the “Anti-Hero” singer set off on the Latin American leg of her career-spanning tour, sources told PEOPLE that Kelce was planning to visit her in Argentina

Although her Friday night concert at Estadio River Plate was postponed due to inclement weather (lightning was detected six miles northeast of the venue around 6 p.m., rendering it unsafe for the concert to continue, according to local weather reports), Swift is currently set to take the stage again on Saturday. She will play her rescheduled, third and final show in Buenos Aires on Sunday before taking the Eras Tour to Brazil for a total of six dates later in November.
