Mandy Moore Celebrates 'Sweet' Son Ozzie's First Birthday: 'Love You to the Moon' - PEOPLE

Mandy Moore's son is growing up!

On Friday, the This Is Us actress, 39, shared a few sweet photos of her son Oscar "Ozzie" as he celebrated his first turn around the sun. Posting a carousel of photos, Moore documented her son's first year, including photos from his first few months, a picture of her son smiling in a hat that read "Little Bro" and a sweet photo of Moore reading to her two boys.

"Our sweet Ozzie is 1. How?!! I honestly can’t remember a moment before this beautiful beaming ball of pure love was in our lives," she began her caption. "The days are long but the years are short is an adage that is proving SO relevant and real, as time oscillates between some strange hyper speed and slow motion."

"The happiest, smiliest guy who NEVER complains except to let us know if his food isn’t available fast enough and who has total 'you seem like your hands are full right now, I’ll just wait' second kid energy. I’m elated for all of the adventures and milestones ahead. We love you to the moon, Oz. Squeezing these babies extra tight these days. 💓."

Moore shares her sons Ozzie and Augustus "Gus," 2, with husband Taylor Goldsmith, 38.

Earlier this month, the star chatted with PEOPLE about life as a mom to two little boys, opening up about her family's holiday traditions. "I think we're excited to figure out what those traditions are going to be," she said. "Honestly, [Ozzie] was so tiny last year, and we were here on the East Coast, which was fun in and of itself, to have that new experience."

"But we're going to move soon, and so I'm excited to settle in and put down roots and figure out what those traditions are going to be."

"Gus just started preschool, and I feel like with all of that comes new community and new things that you do together with new friends and whatnot," she told PEOPLE. "So I'm excited to just continue seeing where that leads us, and being home this year, I think, is going to be especially special."

She also shared how her two boys have grown their brotherly love. "He just wants to mimic his brother," she said of her younger son. "He is obsessed."

Moore revealed that Ozzie's love for his brother is reciprocated, but there are a few boundaries that she's had to put up between her two boys. "I think the biggest thing now is us making sure that he doesn't squash him because sometimes he just wants to get too close and hold too tight," she said of Gus.

"We're like, 'Gentle, buddy.' It's like, I get it. I want to eat Ozzie too. He's still so squishy and I just want to eat his little legs, but we have to just table that for Gus sometimes."

"They're very sweet," the proud mom added. "I'm so grateful to have these two very, very sweet boys that love each other."
