The Seahawks won’t have Jamal Adams for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

They will have the man who took his place in the starting lineup last week — Julian Love.

Love, who stepped in for Adams and picked off two passes to earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors, did not travel with the Seahawks to Nashville on Friday while waiting with his wife, Julia, as she was due to give birth to the couple’s baby boy, Noah.

The baby arrived Friday and Love traveled to Nashville on Saturday, according to a spokesperson with the team.

The Seahawks typically travel two days before the game to anywhere east of the Mountain time zone.

Love did not practice all week because of the pending birth and coach Pete Carroll said Friday he might miss the game.

“Whatever he’s got to do,’’ Carroll said. “Got to take care of his wife and family and all of that.”

Second-year player Coby Bryant practiced in Love’s spot, and Carroll said he would be ready to go if needed.

Love started at safety alongside Quandre Diggs early in the season before returning to a rotational role when Adams returned Oct. 2 against the Giants.

Adams sat out Monday’s game because of continued soreness in his knee and did not practice this week. On Friday he was ruled out, meaning Love is in line to start again.

Seahawks elevate DBs Okada and Joseph

The Seahawks also elevated safety Ty Okada and cornerback Kelvin Joseph off the practice squad Saturday, making each eligible to play Sunday.

Okada, a rookie from Montana State, was elevated for the two games Adams missed this year and played on special teams, including against the Eagles. He figures to again see time on special teams.

Joseph, who was the 44th overall pick of the 2021 draft by the Cowboys out of Kentucky, has not played for the Seahawks since being signed to the practice squad in November. He was signed after he was released by Miami, where he played one game earlier this season.

Joseph adds depth at cornerback, a spot where two players are listed as questionable because of injury: Tre Brown (heel) and Devon Witherspoon (hip).

Carroll said Friday that Brown had “a good day’’ at practice, indicating he will play. But Witherspoon’s status appears more uncertain. He practiced on a limited basis Friday but Carroll said “he couldn’t do much’’ in practice and the team will “wait and see’’ if he can play.

Notes

— Practice squad center Joey Hunt was fined $1,615 for unsportsmanlike conduct for bumping into Eagles receiver A.J. Brown on the sidelines during Monday’s game, according to a report from ESPN. Hunt was referred to as a “staff member’’ on the broadcast, and the Seahawks humorously celebrated that in practice on Thursday with Hunt wearing a jersey that read “Staffer.” There were no other Seahawks fines from that game listed by the league Saturday.

— Titans rookie QB Will Levis is unlikely to play Sunday because of an ankle injury, according to several national reports Saturday. That means veteran Ryan Tannehill will likely take over as the starter. Tannehill started Tennessee’s first six games but injured his ankle against Baltimore on Oct. 15. He returned to health a few weeks later, but the Titans then announced that Levis would remain as the starter. The 35-year-old Tannehill threw two touchdown passes against six interceptions before being replaced, with the Titans going 2-4 in his six starts.
